GALS Parent Council

Greetings all parents and potential Parent Council participants!

The Parent Council at GALS acts as a support for teachers and the school as a whole. Parent Council does fund-raising to help with non-essential (but desirable) school purchases. We orchestrate several activities designed to give families a chance to socialize and get to know the rest of the GALS community. We host a fabulous Fall Family Dance, as well as a Spring Dance that is for students only (with chaperones of course). We spearhead meal planning and snacks for our awe-inspiring teachers during Student-Led Conferences. We recruit volunteers to support the front office staff, as well as any teacher needs. A Parent Council member attends the GALS board meetings to act as a representative for parents. GALS is still a young school. The Parent Council plays an essential support role.  If you feel you have found a great fit for your daughter's education, please try to attend some Parent Council meetings or offer some volunteer time to Parent Council.  Many hands make light work.
